I am trained as an industrial designer, but developed a career working heavily in service and experience design.

While I focus on ensuring a robust overall design strategy, I use a suite of design tools, from graphic design to illustration, to bring ideas to life. I am able to seamlessly switch between the broader vision and the nitty-gritty, ensuring that every element aligns cohesively and delivers the highest quality output.

My journey started by addressing some of the world's most complex humanitarian crises, but my lifelong passion has always been in conservation. Over time, I've found there to be an intrinsic link between humanitarian crises and environmental challenges, fueling my unwavering commitment to advocate for design as a tool to protect both people and the planet.

Today I am a passionate advocate of bringing design and innovation to the forefront of global conservation efforts.

I’ve taught Design for Sustainability at Art Center College of Design and led new product development for a sustainable consumer goods company.

Sustainability is a guiding thread that weaves through my decisions and actions in both my personal and professional life.

Half of the battle is doing the work, but equally crucial is the ability to craft compelling narratives around it.

I thrive when transforming complex, dense information into powerful, accessible narratives. Whether onstage at TED or in academic journals, I love the challenge of connecting a message with an audience, and an audience with an action.
